Into It Over It

So, I haven’t updated in a minute. Today, my friends Kevin/Seth and their label Topshelf Records announced that they will be doing the final two split 7″ records for the Twelve Towns series. They will be released in August/September and be featuring my awesome friends Castevet/Everyone Everywhere, respectively. I’m super stoked to be working with two awesome dudes and being a part of an AWESOME label. Check out their other bands too… Bands like We Were Skeletons, My Heart To Joy, Piano’s Become The Teeth and Rooftops.. All great.

Here is a music video we shot in my apartment for the song 22 Syllables. This song is featured on 52 Weeks. My good friend Craig Shimala shot and edited it. My other good friend Christina beat me in Scrabble (as usual) for it. I suggest watching it full screen. Enjoy and share!

I had an awesome time in California. I wanna thank Chase, Chris No Sleep, Neel and Mitchell for being excellent hosts. The week was full of laughing, In-N-Out and birdman (amongst other things). My friend Mitchell Wojcik is an awesome photographer. He shot some great photos of me which will be used on new upcoming projects. I also wanna thank the guys in Boris Smile, Such Gold, The Wonder Years, We Are The Union, Hanalei, The Sheds, The Braces and everyone else that I met while I was out there. Now, I have to turn the page and get ready for Europe…

I’m coming to California for a week. In that time I’ll be playing a few shows, hanging out super “tuff” with some friends, eating In-N-Out Burger, having “meetings” …ya know…derelict stuff. Here are the shows I’ll be playing.

Here is a photo of me with Former Thieves. They are some of my best friends. We had a GREAT time on tour together and they are like my “Brothers From Different Mothra’s”. Yeah… Like Godzilla. I’ll be playing their homecoming show concluding their 80 day tour. The show will be on April 30th and in Cedar Falls, IA. I miss them to death.

This is a photo of me and my longtime friend KOJI. We just spent a series of days together… playing shows, doing podcasts, filming video, taking photos, eating well, learning covers… exploring and enjoying tour for what it should be. We’ve known each other for about 10 years and click as well as two people could ever click. I helped him record his song “Wrangle” which will appear on a split 7″ between him and our friends La Dispute. Expect to see more work between the two of us (a lot) in the next year or so.

I’ll be going out with my friend KOJI for 6 days playing some shows around the Chicago area. Here are the dates.

Here is the cover for the split 7″ between me and the band Pswingset from Austin, TX / Akron, OH. I’ve known the guys in this band forever (Jordan, since he was in Adios. They used to play shows with The Progress all the time). They are heavily responsible for keeping D.I.Y. alive in the town of Akron, OH… always a favorite place to stop between Philadelphia and Chicago. This 7″ will be my first release on Count Your Lucky Stars. The records will be going to press soon and when they do, we’ll be launching a pre-order, as well as putting new songs online. I’ll keep you posted.
